    1. Not necessarily the person needs to have an extensive vocabulary to get hired for a job, but it could be an A + to their resume, in my opinion is how clever, and how well the persons can upmarket themselves, great question, this makes me think of a sharp person, thanks for your question Fernanda.

    2. I really like your question because possessing a high vocabulary does help when trying to get hired in a new job. To my perspective having a high vocabulary lets people know that you know what your talking about and you are a very educate person. Thank you for your question Fernanda Arizpe.

    3. This is a good question but I don't think it really matters. I would say it's more about the skills they posses and not the vocabulary. Maybe it does matter but it all depends on what career they are going for. This is a good question, you really got me thinking.

    4. Let's clarify and contextualize: How important is high level vocabulary to UTPA students? How do students at UTPA believe high vocabulary will impact their future careers?

    1. I like your question, and it really makes us as students think about what could be done to make it easier to grasp all concepts taught by our English teacher. I think that one of the ''materials'' that has really helped me be organized and, therefore, be less stressed would be Coronell notes. It is a note-taking system that really helps individuals keep organized. You could could use Coronell notes as part of your research essay.

    2. Try this: How do UTPA students handle academic stress? What types of assignments are most stressful for UTPA students? What types of assignments are the least stressful? Overall, what strategies should UTPA students develop in order to avoid stressful situations?

  6. Are there certain studying skills that should be used only for certain majors?

    1. I like your question but I would like to add that those certain studying skills can differ from every major or even from every single student because everyone has a different way of studying. I believe that everyone develops their own way of study in high school or even earlier and the fact that they have choose a certain major shouldn’t affect it.

    2. Interesting question, Jessica. Your overall question could be the following: How do UTPA students study? What are the most popular study skills at UTPA? Are these study skills helpful or not? Overall, what are the most important study skills students at UTPA should adopt in order to succeed in their majors?

  7. Why do we keep procrastinating even though we know it's bad?

    1. This is an interesting question because everybody procrastinates at one point of their life. You could also ask how we can avoid procrasination, and why some people believe it may even be better to procrastinate at times. Your question focuses on a bad habit, and mine focuses on peoples perceptions of good writing.

      Delete
    2. Your question is very interesting because it asks a question that most students and even workers never think about. You can also add if procrastinating helps certain people since their on a time limit and under pressure. Like does it help them work better on the task at hand or does it stress them out and cause them to shut down? Your question focuses on one thing while mine tries to compare differences of two.

      Delete
    3. I like your question because even though people that procrastinates know how the pressure feels, they still do it, maybe procrastinating is the only way that they feel like doing what they are required to do?, your question is different to mine because mine is about good writing and yours is about procrastinating.

    4. Try this: How/why do UTPA students procrastinate? Do males do it more than females, or vice versa? Is it possible that UTPA students are not procrastinating, but rather strategizing their studying in a different way?

  9. Can effectively studying a sport actually improve how an athlete performs in a game the way studying an academic text improves performance on a test?

    1. I like this question because you are comparing two very different things but yet what they both have in common is that in both things you can improve since practice makes perfect. So yes, you can improve at anything if you take the time to practice it. Very good question.

      Delete
    2. Interesting question, Margrett. While I'm all for the study of sport, it seems as if you're attempting to connect two different areas. Cool, but I don't want you to get in over your head. Honestly, here's how I see this interrogation going: How do UTPA students study academic texts? What are the most popular perceptions of the study of academic texts among UTPA students? Are they doing it right/wrong? Overall, what are the most important study skills students should develop in order to effectively break down academic texts.
This is just a suggestion, but let me know if you still want to discuss your interest in sport.

    1. At first glance it probably doesn't seem like it would be very useful, however, reading and writing have a lot to do with critical thinking, and that can transfer over to business accounting. Doesn't business accounting involve analyzing numbers, and then communicating your findings to others? If so, then reading analytically and practicing to get important info from your writing could help with analyzing numbers, and learning to be able to communicate to specific audiences through your writing could help with communicating your findings to others.

    3. In fact it has made some people successful, but at high risk. Procrastinating is to be at the edge of a cliff and just pending on luck.
I believe there is a limit to procrastination and if you go to far, you will fall of the cliff.

There is a lot of limits in our freedom but the government, through socialization makes you believe otherwise.
